The CEO of Equispheres, Kevin Nicholds, was honoured by the DoD’s recognition of their material technology’s suitability for defence uses. The company’s unique production process allows for material property customization for specific applications, resulting in various improvements in metal additive manufacturing. This ability meets the needs of the defence supply chain and signifies a major step forward in the evolution of metal additive manufacturing.

Army xTech Program’s deputy program manager, Jessica Stillman, underscored the crucial role of international cooperation in advancing military capabilities. The xTechInternational competition, which concentrates on advanced manufacturing and materials, recorded its highest participation and award amount in this series, indicating a rising interest in these technologies.
