February 13: SPE on Plastic Datasheets

Also on the 13th, SPE will conduct a webinar titled “Plastic Datasheets: What They Do and Don’t Tell Us” at 11 am EST. There exist tens of thousands of unique plastic resins, and when we need to pick a suitable material for a manufacturing project, whether it’s 3D printing or other, we generally refer to the property data sheet. However, data shows that close to half of all plastic part failures occur due to selecting an incompatible material. This webinar is designed to address this issue.

“Appropriate material selection for an application is crucial and relies on accurate data. While the nature of plastic projects has transformed in the last half century, the data that we receive hasn’t. This webinar will cover the shortcomings present in the info provided by the plastic data sheets and will propose what is essentially needed for success in material selection and product design.”
