Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Farsoon has recently announced the launch of UT252P, an ultra-temperature configuration system that caters specifically to high-temperature material applications. This new system represents a significant advancement of Farsoon’s existing 252P platform, which has gained recognition in various industries since its introduction in 2014.

One of the key features of UT252P is its enhanced chamber temperature capacity, allowing it to process materials with melting points exceeding 340°C. With a versatile build envelope measuring 250×250×320mm, the system is equipped with a robust 100W CO2 laser, making it suitable for applications in fields such as material engineering, medical, and aerospace that require high-temperature capabilities.

The UT252P also boasts improved 8-zone temperature shielding and thermal control, enabling it to handle high-temperature and high-performance engineering materials such as PA6, PA66, PPS, PAEK, PI, and PTFE. These materials are known for their superior durability, resistance to extreme conditions, and enhanced wear resistance, making them ideal for industries that demand high-quality, end-use products.

During the Beta testing phase, components produced using the UT252P consistently displayed reliable results in terms of thermal stability, surface quality, and mechanical properties. This showcases the system’s potential for high-temperature 3D printing and highlights its viability in real-world applications.

To optimize high-temperature powder materials for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) processes, Farsoon collaborated with multiple material suppliers during the development of the UT252P. Notably, the successful sintering of a PAEK family material with a melting point exceeding 340°C was achieved. This material possesses exceptional chemical and thermal resistance, low moisture absorption, fire resistance, and enhanced wear resistance.

The UT252P ultra-temperature system is currently available for Beta program applications in the Chinese market. It offers significant advantages for industries looking to leverage the benefits of 3D printing using high-temperature materials.

As the additive manufacturing industry continues to evolve, advancements like the UT252P are paving the way for new possibilities. From material engineering to aerospace, the ability to process high-temperature materials opens up opportunities for innovation and product development. With its robust capabilities and reliable performance, the UT252P is set to make a significant impact in the world of high-temperature 3D printing.
